SO, JUST WHERE ARE WE???
We arrived in the far north east of Brazil, in the Cariri area of the Praiba state, to a strange landscape of desert and boulders, not knowing what to expect and why we were there! Our tour operator suggested this area as a restful place to stay before we travel on to India. After seeing some rocks that is just what we did, and it has to be said at least there are interesting pictures to show for it!

Wishing you all a happy new year and belated happy birthday to James. Really enjoying the blogs, paticularly the pictures of places in Brazil that we remember. Looking forward to some tales from India.

Glad you're still having such a great time, guys. Can't wait for news of India. We're plodding on as best we can. Good days and bad days, but I think I'm winning overall. Still too ill to work, sadly, or even read a book one year on, but we did manage New York for the launch of my novel, which was fabulous and The Sense of Paper is selling really well, so every cloud.
